Health insurance is compulsory for foreign guests in Germany, regardless of whether they come from a country whose citizens have to apply for a visa or may enter without a visa. The health insurance policies must meet minimum requirements, e.g. a sum insured of at least EUR 30,000. After concluding the contract, you will receive an email that serves as proof for the application to the consulate or embassy.
