The trigger for the establishment of the foundation in 2007 was the attack on soldiers of the German Armed Forces in Kabul on 14 November 2005. The foundation supports soldiers, police officers and full-time and voluntary helpers from non-governmental organisations who have been wounded or injured during foreign missions and suffer from permanent consequential damage.<\/p>\n
