One of the Christmas donations of 7,500 euros was now received by the Oberst Schöttler Versehrten-Stiftung.
In 2005, Stefan Deuschl lost both legs in a suicide attack in Kabul. The family was faced with immense costs, government subsidies were far from sufficient! For Dr. Horst Schöttler, this incident was the trigger for the establishment of a foundation to support people who were seriously injured during missions.
As a victim, Stefan Deuschl has also been an active member of the board since the foundation was established. Since 2007, soldiers, police officers and civilian helpers have been able to turn to the foundation and receive the necessary financial support, medical care and social companionship.
Firefighters, helpers from the THW (German Federal Agency for Technical Relief) and disaster control are now also supported.
So far, help has been provided in over 500 cases.
